Eugene Delacroix Liberty leading the people, 1830 Image source  Painting commemorates political uprising in Paris in July 1830 against tyrannical regime of the King Charles X Allegory of liberty: bare breasted woman with a bayoneted musket in one hand and tricolor (republican flag) in the other. She wears a Phrygian cap, which was a symbol of liberty during French revolution.
